夕阳西下，缓缓地沉了下去，阳光似乎怕勾起这里无限的离愁，于是选择了安静地离开。但这只是短暂的分别，明早的太阳会照常升起，将以另一种方式照耀着大地。

穆纳里陪着问天等四人在部落里巡视，一方面给他们讲解有关于骷髅部落的历史和传统习俗。

黄昏的薄雾把整个部落映衬得犹如仙境一般美丽，但人类繁衍在此间，却又意味着什么？

凯丽问道（法语）：“Munari! Quand la maladie a-t-elle été détectée?（穆纳里！病情是在什么时候发现的？）”

凯丽轻轻地拍了拍穆纳里的肩膀，把她的话翻译了过来。她完全可以想象得出，在一个不到两百人的原始部落里，每个月去世一个族人是一种什么样的心里阴影，那简直就是到了一种崩溃的死亡状态。

凯丽也感到神奇，连忙问穆纳里。

走到近前，只见香肠树的样子非常特别，果实是垂吊着挂在树上的，和芒果的悬挂方式差不多，密密麻麻地挂在树上，长度在三十至六十公分左右，像一条条的大香肠，非常诱人。

穆纳里笑了笑，走近树下，突然双脚急蹬，加速冲向香肠树，两脚踏上树干，用力一蹬，身子悬空转身，右手闪电一挥，斜斜地划过，一串连着三个又长又大的香肠果被她手上的什么利器割断。穆纳里左手一伸，已把香肠果接住，一纵身，稳稳地跳下地来。

“Good move!（好身手啊！）”四个人都忍不住出声赞叹。

香肠树原产热带非洲，当遭遇干旱的时候，它就会为周围的动物或当地人提供一些果实和花朵，为这个大自然奉献着自己本身的价值。因为有这种树的存在，当地的生态环境也是较为不错的，对于河谷和生态的影响都作出了自己独特的贡献。自然界就是这样神奇，只有人想不到的东西，没有它呈现不出来的物种。

大家正在品尝着香肠果，忽然听见头顶上一片呼啸，一群群蝙蝠迎着即将到来的夜幕，扇动着两只乌黑的大翅膀，在峡谷里盘旋着飞来飞去。

“Lots of bats!（好多的蝙蝠！）”布莱特仰头看着空中的蝙蝠。

凯丽问道（法语）：“Munari! D’où viennent ces chauves-souris?（穆纳里！这些蝙蝠是从哪里来的？）”

穆纳里回答道（法语）：“Il y avait beaucoup de grottes autour de la tribu, où vivaient des chauves-souris qui, au crésoir, volaient pour se nourrir, mais les chauves-souris ne nous avaient jamais attaqué pour nous faire du mal.（部落的周围有很多的山洞，洞里都住着蝙蝠，一到黄昏时分就会飞出来觅食，但蝙蝠从来没有袭击伤害过我们。）”

“老大！部落里的病毒，会不会就和这些蝙蝠有关？”

“关系应该有，但不一定就是蝙蝠直接传染的。”

凯丽拿着那段大拇指般粗壮的香肠果藤，只见果藤的上端被穆纳里手上的利器齐齐地割断，却又不见她手上拿着任何的刀具，忍不住好奇，问道（法语）：“Munari!Vous n’avez pas pris un couteau, mais vous avez coupé avec quoi une vigne aussi grosse?（穆纳里！你没有拿刀，却是用什么割断这么粗的果藤？）”

穆纳里笑了笑，翻开手掌，手上拿着的，却是一片眼镜片般大，似是鳞甲一类的骨质扇形薄片，似乎十分锋利。凯丽接过细看，却认不出是什么东西，连忙递过去给问天看。

“这是穿山甲的鳞甲。”问天一眼就看了出来，眉头一皱，说道，“凯丽！你问一下，他们部落里是不是有捕食穿山甲的习惯？”

凯丽把鳞甲交还给穆纳里，问道（法语）：“Munari! Avez-vous l’habitude de préder des pangolins?（穆纳里！你们是不是有捕食穿山甲的习惯？）”

穆纳里点了点头，说道（法语）：“Oui, toutes nos sources de nourriture viennent de la forêt tropicale, et la plupart de nos prédateurs sont les sangins, parce que les sangins sont très nombreux, et les pangolins, utilisés pour la prédation, ont un effet exorcisant dans notre tradition et sont en même temps un symbole noble.（是的，我们的食物来源都是来自雨林，主要捕食的是野猪，因为野猪的数量非常多。而捕食穿山甲，在我们这里的传统中有着驱邪作用，同时也是一种尊贵的象征。）”

问天听了凯丽的翻译后，深深地感叹了一声，说道：“对于人类来说，穿山甲的最大价值，其实不是它们的肉和鳞片，而是它们在维护生态平衡上的巨大作用。”

“老爸！你认为他们的病毒是通过食用穿山甲而被感染的？”

“不仅仅是穿山甲，所有的野生动物都有可能，部落里长期捕食野生动物，不被感染那才是最奇怪的！”

“穿山甲它本身也带有病毒吗？”高晓飞不禁问道。

“当今人类新发的传染病毒中，百分之八十都与野生动物有关，或者来源于野生动物！”

傍晚的云彩瞬息万变，变幻万千地把天空织成了一幅活动的画卷，让人在空闲时享受着这美景，幻想着眼前这个原始部落中的传奇故事。

五个人面对着湖水围坐在香肠树下的草地上，心中有着无限的感慨。

是啊！人类在地球的生物史上占据着很短的时间，十几万年前才进化到智人，也就是现代人类的直接祖先，和地球上大部分的生物来比较，人类的进化发展时间都是微不足道的。

而人类在这么短的时间内发展出了智慧文明，这不得不说是一个奇迹，主要是因为人类选择的进化方向比较优势，很多动物都进化了强壮的身躯或者尖牙利爪，而人类进化了大脑。

人类文明的发展主要靠的是科学理论的进步，科技水平的提高给人类生活带来很多的便利。但在人类前进的步伐中，在某个阶段出现的深受争议的科学实验，也绝对是丧心病狂的，已经超越了人类伦理边界，甚至，连人类自己都无法接受。

随着科技的进步，人类的生活质量也在提高，但自然灾害和人为灾害的数量也在逐年增加，对地球即将毁灭的预测也在不时流传。谣言不是空穴来风，人类真的面临着来自大自然的挑战，面临着命运的考验。

人类是地球的霸主，是世界上最可怕的生物。为了自身的发展，对地球和自然造成了不可磨灭的破坏。人类面临的挑战可能是地球对人类的反击，而这些危机和挑战是否意味着地球即将系统性地崩塌，人类是否会因为地球的崩塌而灭亡？

布莱特感叹道：“So, who is the real death?Is a bat?Pangolin?Civet?Or some other wild animal?（那么，谁才是真正的死神？是蝙蝠？是穿山甲？是果子狸？还是别的野生动物？）”
