Chapter 40 I Come Back（A）

The thing that back to the Villa Autumn is sooner or later, but Emily immediately thought of the Small Thomas. In order to make the meet that the two Ward does not much disturbance, she thought it would be arranged.

After leaving the cottage, she made several telephone calls. She first told Clark that she must send Mr Ward a trip home. Then she told the things about Mr Ward to her father Clement and grandma Louise. She let Louise sent Stevens and Maria to Nassau, and began to tell Louise that she will return to the Villa Autumng before Mr Ward.

克莱门特接到埃米莉的电话以后，先是一惊，这么多日子不见她露面，原来这丫头一个人跑到外面作调查去了；接着他变得高兴起来，埃米莉带给他的消息治好了他的一块心病，事实证明，当初他的选择是正确的。他顺手拨通了妻子的电话，告诉她事情的新发展，他还给琳达和文森特也打了电话。

Clement surprised at first what after he got a phone call from Emily, so many days not to see her appearance, original this girl only herself ran outside to make the investigation. Then Louise dialed a long distance phone call to New York to ask the stock. Other involved person said that it has been thrown out by thirty-five percent, and the work is still in doing. She was excuse to the kitchen then left the study.

After Louise left the study, she didn't go to the kitchen but quietly found housekeeper Mr James Fair. When she told him that the things of Mr Ward, Mr James Fair to be dubiously on all of face, ‘how is that possible?’

他们走出小别墅，乘上停在空地上的飞机。在发动机的喧嚣声中，飞机不一会儿便离开了地面，消失在西边的天空中。
